Happy Valentine’s Day to us! We were spending the weekend at Jon’s family cabin in Mount Hermon (outside of Santa Cruz), which offers tons of hiking nearby. So we headed off to Big Basin Redwood State Park and did a 10 mile loop trail. It was very lush and had some great waterfalls. We enjoyed lunch by a waterfall and saw SO many salamanders!!
I’m writing this post after some time has passed, so I believe that our route was out via Berry Creek Falls trail, and came back via Skyline to the Sea trail.
Distance: 10.6 miles
