Like several million others, we answered REI’s call to “Opt Outside” on Black Friday. Jon and Randy went golfing while I went hiking with my mom and step-dad.
We headed over to White Tank Mountain Regional Park, and out along Ford Canyon Trail. Our plan was to go out and back, however long we felt like it. The first mile or so was very flat and easy, but eventually it got bit harder, working its way up and around the mountain. The trails were very well marked for the most part. About where we turned around, in a wash, it started to get a bit questionable but with a bit of energy I think we could’ve figured it out. Also, not too crowded, especially after the first mile, which we really enjoyed.
